You will be helped to understand the stages of loss and bereavement ( shock and paralysis – anger – bargaining – depression -self and other forgiveness – understanding and acceptance – moving on) and you will be supported in this journey to grieve as much as you need to in the sessions, talk to your loved one, better understand what happened, deal with any remaining guilt and remorse, any paralysis, anger, bargaining, – if only’s, depression and sadness, self and other forgiveness and deeper understanding. you will be helped and supported to begin to accept your loss and move on in your life without your beloved as they surely would want you to do!

To live is to experience loss – small losses and major losses. Loss of a loved one, loss of a child, loss of health, loss of confidence, loss of a job, loss of special meaningful possessions and money, loss of a relationship, loss of the zest for life ….
Whatever the loss, people tend to respond in predictable ways and along a predictable pathway, though they may get stuck at any one stage. The stages include:- DABDA (shock and numbness), Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance (and moving on) (Elizabeth Kubler-Ross)
The Counsellor or Psychotherapist will ascertain at what stage the client is at when they first come for help and explore each necessary stage with the aim of reaching A – acceptance and moving on. Clients will be unlikely to improve if they do not experience and deal with each stage of the process of grieving. Each stage will vary in intensity and in how long it lasts and this will vary with each individual and the nature of the loss or bereavement.

    You may book a session with us via website or by simply calling us on the given phone number

  • COME SIT WITH ME

    Towards the end of this session your counsellor/ psychotherapist will summarize what you have told him/her and give you a ’guesstimate' of how many sessions may be required. `This will be revised if necessary after every session.

At the end of the session you can walk away without any further obligation for you can choose to accept the contract and get started. The first introductory session is always free with no obligation on your part to continue. After that it’s £45 per hour session
